Otolith in Fourth Genre

FG19'1 cover c.inddMy fish essay, “Otolith,” is in the Spring 2017 issue of Fourth Genre. This essay took me more than a year to complete, and in my opinion, is probably the best writing I’ve ever done. I’m thrilled it found a home at Fourth Genre, which publishes notable, innovative work in nonfiction.

I must express my sincere gratitude to Editor, Laura Julier, for taking a risk on my weird essay, and to Erin Alvarez, for encouraging me to send them work in the first place.

I picked up some copies at AWP17 in Washington DC, and the issue is just delicious. I’m also excited that a review written by my friend, Renee D’Aoust, is also included in the same issue.
